That\u2019s a huge pain, especially if you just reached a flow state while coding. Also, studies show getting back on task isn\u2019t easy \u2014 it can take up to&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ics.uci.edu\/~gmark\/chi08-mark.pdf\">23 minutes<\/a>&nbsp;to regain the same level of concentration.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li> <strong>They can go on for too long:&nbsp;<\/strong>Synchronous meetings can quickly go off the rails, especially if you have a talkative and social team. And what often happens is only 1-2 developers are really talking, which means everyone else is just sitting by wasting time. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li> <strong>They\u2019re difficult to schedule:&nbsp;<\/strong>Most remote teams are going to be in different time zones.
